Former Chief Minister of Punjab, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, initiated the Ehsaas Rashan Program during Prime Minister Imran Khan’s tenure. The program is designed to aid the impoverished and those in dire need.
The Ehsaas Rashan Program registration process has been simplified for accessibility. The Rashan registration procedure is straightforward to ensure widespread comprehension. Facilities are provided for individuals to register while purchasing essentials from grocery stores.
The Ehsaas Rashan program subsidizes four essential commodities—flour, oil, pulses, and cooking oil—by 40%. The subsidy has resumed from August 17. Needy individuals have begun receiving Rashan through this program.
August 20 Rashan Relief
Former Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif announced a special Independence Day discount on Rashan. The discount has been implemented since August 17.
A discount is applicable to Rashan items under the program. For instance, you will receive 10 kg of flour oil, usually priced between 1500 to 1700, at a discounted rate. Discounts include Rs.648 per kg of Rashan, Rs.353 per kg on ghee, Rs.100 per kg on sugar, and Rs.25 per kg of pulses. To be eligible for the program, register by entering your ID card number (8123). Upon successful registration, you will receive a confirmation message.
Visit the Rashan portal and enter your ID card number to determine your poverty score. If your score is below 40, you qualify for Rashan assistance. An online portal is available to check your poverty score; enter your ID card number there to check your score.
