Ehsaas Disable Person Program: The Ehsaas Disability Support Program has been established by the Government of Pakistan to provide financial assistance to individuals with disabilities and special needs. Under this initiative, disabled individuals receive a monthly stipend of 2000 rupees. The program also includes the creation of special budget bank accounts for disabled individuals, initiated in December 2022.
This policy aims to enhance the welfare of special individuals in Pakistan by offering a monthly stipend to families with members who have special needs.
Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to participate in the Ehsaas or BISP program to access financial aid from the Pakistani government. To ensure proper registration, it’s important to have your disability status documented in your CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card). Should you encounter any difficulties, don’t hesitate to reach out to government representatives and communicate your concerns.
Ehsaas Disable Person Program
The 8171 Disability Support Program extends its benefits to 20 million families across the country, specifically those with at least one disabled member. This initiative reflects society’s commitment to inclusivity and equal opportunities for disabled individuals. Registration can be done through the National Socioeconomic Registry (NSER) survey, which assesses families’ eligibility.
Participation in the Ehsaas Kafalat program is also possible for disabled individuals. To be considered, it’s crucial that all disabled persons are registered with NADRA. When the Ehsaas survey team conducts visits, ensure your family’s registration in the Ehsaas Kafalat program across all districts. Eligible families will be incorporated. The process of identifying eligible families through the NSER survey continues until June.
Application Procedure
Biometric verification for disabled individuals will be conducted using the NADRA database. Only those individuals recognized as disabled within the NADRA database will be eligible. Family members should promptly register disabled individuals in the NADRA database, and a disability certificate from NADRA must be provided to qualify for the stipend.
Once eligible individuals with disabilities are registered in the NADRA records, the necessary information for enrolling their families in the Ehsaas program will be shared with Ehsaas management through NADRA. Re-registration is not required, as the payment system relies on biometric authentication.
