Complaints have been received by the Benazir Income Support Program regarding the non-disbursement of funds to deserving individuals. The National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER) survey was conducted several years ago when many households were relatively stable. However, the financial conditions of many families have deteriorated since then. Some members, particularly the elderly and those unable to work, require financial aid.
Additionally, women who have lost their husbands and are responsible for their own families also need support to sustain their households. Recognizing these needs, the Benazir Income Support Program has decided to reopen registration. This expansion aims to include up to 9 million beneficiaries in the program.
Registration Process:
The registration process for this program has been simplified. Previously, BISP representatives would visit homes to gather information and enroll individuals. However, a dynamic survey approach has been adopted. During this process, individuals need to visit their nearest BISP office and complete the registration.

Eligibility Criteria for BISP Registration:
This program exclusively targets the impoverished and deserving population. Hence, not everyone can register. Specific eligibility criteria have been established:
- The poverty score must be below thirty.
- Monthly income should not exceed thirty thousand.
- Widows are eligible to apply.
- Individuals aged 60 or above can enroll.
- Students can also access financial stipends.
