Consequently, the monthly cash assistance provided to beneficiaries, referred to as “samahi wazifa,” will see a rise from 7,000 rupees to 8,750 rupees.

To initiate the new payment model pilot, four selected districts in the country will be introduced, wherein cash assistance will be directly transferred to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts. Once the pilot demonstrates success, beneficiaries nationwide will have the opportunity to open bank accounts of their choice and receive their cash assistance through this streamlined payment method.

It was recognized that reaching ISP centers in these regions might pose difficulties for some individuals.

To address this concern, the Chairman of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), present at the meeting, was tasked with making extra efforts to assist people in remote areas of Balochistan in obtaining their identity cards. This would enable them to register for the Benazir Income Support Program and access the financial assistance they require.
